Ekadashi at Khatu Shyam

The sacred eleventh day of each lunar fortnight, observed with fasting, prayers, and special darshan at the temple.

About Ekadashi

Ekadashi, literally meaning "the eleventh," is a sacred day that occurs twice in every Hindu lunar month. One falls during the Shukla Paksha (waxing moon) and the other during the Krishna Paksha (waning moon). It is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu and his avatars.

At Khatu Shyam Mandir, Ekadashi holds extraordinary significance. Since Khatu Shyam Ji (Barbarik) was blessed by Lord Krishna himself, Ekadashi celebrations here are particularly grand. Thousands of devotees visit the temple on every Ekadashi to observe the vrat (fast) and seek blessings.
